If you’ve been around kids (or grandkids) the last few years, you’ve probably heard of the show Bluey. One of our favorite episodes is called Fancy Restaurant.
In it, the dad spends the whole episode trying to be romantic. Big words, fancy gestures… none of it really lands. What matters most in the end is something small: he quietly takes a plate of gross food his kids made from his wife so she doesn’t have to eat it.
It’s a good reminder that love is more than smoochy kisses and fancy restaurants. It’s serving. It’s noticing. It’s doing the small things that matter to the people around you.
